Rv8 Hood Rear Window Instruction?? Placement
In the course of obtaining a new Clutch Return Spring (thanks Peter, did wonder what half a spring was hanging down for and thought wrongly, that there must have been two on the brake)! I got a bit carried away with the B & G order and like many enthusiasts who want every bit more or less correct I ordered part ZKC5278 RV8 Hood Rear Window Instruction, it was a 1 and I thought a useful addition to put in with the handbook and since I was already paying postage whats a 1?. What I have received is a sticker 12cm x 2.5 black with silver writing: Warning! Unzip and lower rear screen prior to folding hood. Sound advice, my query is where should it be? I have a new screen surround so is it something that was originally fitted to this perhaps near the hood clips? Hoping someone has an idea?

Rv8 Hood Rear Window Instruction?? Placement
On my car, the label is located on the headrail behind the driver's sun visor just to the left of the hood catch: the most appropriate location, in my opinion.

Rv8 Hood Rear Window Instruction?? Placement
Having unzipped the rear window, it seemed to me to become rather vulnerable to damage. I therefore got a towel of a suitable size, folded it in half across the longer sides and got it sewn up down the then shorter sides to form a pouch or pocket, which would then slip over the rear window thus protecting it on both sides.

I have one or more drop-heads. I have found over a few years the best way to protect the rear window from damage is to use foam pipe lagging. It fits most cars like a glove and one length is is enough, very cheap.

Rv8 Hood Rear Window Instr & Enjoy the Summer Runs
Thanks Guys, Chris, Chris & Brian
I will pop the sticker in place tomorrow,
Someone else told me about the pipe lagging at MGB50 (Gaydon) many thanks, and I purchased said item shortly after. It has already been well used (albeit not recently - summer ha).
However "Wizzy" now with new CW high core radiator and Krypton filled shocks, starts his travels this weekend with... The 10th Bury Black Pudding Run, I'm pleased to say we've done everyone although we are on our third (and best) vehicle! Then its Pendle (two weeks later) then Snowdon in Aug but that will probably have to be MGZT190 - sorry Wizzy, but youngest member of family is getting vocal about being left with Grannie! Then its Sept and Lancashire Lanes or MGB North - decisions!! Have a great summer of runs everyone and hope to see you at the Heritage Factory Tour later!
