Boot cable?
On the nearside of the inside of the boot in my RV8 is a black cable with a 12 pin connection on the end of it (sorry for the not very technical description). Can anyone tell me what it is for please?

Boot cable?
It is probably the connection to the CD autochanger. The other end of this cable is attached to the car radio.

Boot cable?
Gordon,
Godfrey is correct except that it is not generally connected at the radio end but is there if needed. I think your car is Ex-Japanese as I do not think UK cars had this cable.

Boot cable?
Sorry to disagree with you John. My car is UK spec (ex Bryan Ditchman owned) and has this cable together with the autochanger. It is true the cable is not connected to the radio, for the simple reason the autochanger is not working correctly.
