V8 driver's window glass
Can anyone help please? Just taken my GTV8 out for a spin and the driver's window glass appears to have come loose. When I wound it up to the top it seemed fine but once it's gone down to the base and then wound up again it missed the front channel and needed pushing forward about an inch to realign with the channel. Seems very loose, is their a clip that holds the glass in the runner or is it fixed some other way? Thanks,
Tim Bedford

The full page diagram on page R16 of the MGB Workshop Manual AKD3259 (15th Edition) shows the window mechanism. The routines for removing the door trim pad, inner door handle, door glass and door glass regulator are on pages R3 to R5. If you don't have a copy of the manual then let me know and I will scan those pages and send them to you as a PDF file.

The scan of four pages from the workshop manual is available at:
Let me know if it is any help in finding the cause of the malfunction on the window.
